Donald Trump’s Miss USA pageant will be aired by Reelz channel, it has been announced.
In a statement released on Thursday, Reelz CEO Stan E. Hubbard said, ‘The decision on the part of Reelz to acquire the rights to the Miss USA pageant was based on our belief that this special event, and the women who compete in it, are an integral part of American tradition. As one of only a few independent networks, we decided to exercise our own voice and committed ourselves to bringing this pageant to American viewers everywhere.’
Along with the photo above, the network joyfully announced on Facebook, ‘Exciting news for those who want to #SavetheSash! The #MissUSA pageant is coming to REELZ.’
Meanwhile, organizers of the pageant have vowed that the show must go on even though its host, judges and musical guest have all quit following the controversy.
Miss USA airs July 12.
