Ariana Grande is apologizing for what she calls ‘the whole donut fiasco’, which has placed under fire all week.
As ENTmania! reported, Grande had apologized via a written statement earlier on Wednesday for saying ‘I hate Americans. I hate America’ inside a donut shop on Independence Day, but failed to apologize for licking donuts on display with her assumed new boyfriend without buying them. That apology was not accepted by many, who regarded it as shallow and typical for spoiled brats.
So on Thursday night, the singer released a 4-minute video apologizing again for her behavior.
‘I just wanted to make a video to apologize again for the whole donut fiasco and craziness. Because I feel like the apology that I posted, I kind of missed my opportunity to actually sincerely apologize and express how I was feeling,’ she said.
Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly, that you have no idea was taken, is such a rude awakening. It’s like you don’t know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself. I shoved my face in a pillow and wanted to disappear. But instead of that I’m gonna come forward and own up to what I did and take responsibility and say I’m sorry.
Because I reacted in a way that wasn’t necessary, to say the least, but also just wasn’t me at all. I apologize for my poor choice of words and for my behavior. Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way makes you want to never behave that way again.
Grande ended by saying, ‘Not here to make any excuses or justify my behavior, because I can’t. I’m just here to apologize.’
