Donald Trump has alerted the FBI after receiving a death threat via Twitter from someone claiming to be the son of escaped Mexican drug kingpin El Chapo.
Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Loera escaped from the maximum security Altiplano Federal Prison on Saturday, the second time he has done that. His escape has prompted a massive manhunt op by law enforcement agents to find Chapo, who was only recaptured last year after escaping prison in 2001.
On Sunday, El Chapo’s Twitter account, which is believed to be run by his son, sent out a series of messages in Spanish to the Republican presidential hopeful, one of which translates to ‘Keep f***ing around and I’m gonna make you swallow your b***h words you f***ing whitey milksh***er.’ Of course, Trump has been heavily criticized for his comments about illegal Mexican immigrants … and it is believed that Trump was threatened because he said that Chapo is ‘everything that is wrong with Mexico.’
Now Trump’s rep has confirmed that this particular threat has been forwarded to the FBI for investigation. Trump himself tells TMZ, ‘I’m fighting for much more than myself. I’m fighting for the future of our country which is being overrun by criminals. You can’t be intimidated. It’s too important.’
