Taylor Swift has apologized to Nicki Minaj for the way she inserted herself into the latter’s complaint about the MTV VMAs nominations.
As ENTmania! reported, Swift took offense to a tweet Minaj sent out, complaining about how her Anaconda music video was snubbed in the Video of the Year category because it does not ‘celebrate women with very slim bodies.’ However, it turned out that Nicki wasn’t really referring to Swift (though this is debatable) … and Swift got blasted for it, the most notable coming from former friend-now ‘straight-up enemy’ Katy Perry.
So on Thursday, the pop singer took to Twitter to apologize, writing, ‘I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki.’
Minaj accepted her apology, writing, ‘That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13 [love emoji].’
