Tony Stewart has been sued for wrongful death by the parents of NASCAR driver Kevin Ward Jr., who was killed by Stewart’s car during a sprint race in New York last year.
As ENTmania! reported, 20-year old Ward’s car was knocked out of the track by Stewart during the ill-fated race … and after he entered the road yelling at Stewart, he was hit and killed when the 3-time NASCAR champ sped by again.
Police investigations cleared Stewart of any wrongdoing, noting that Ward was under the influence of marijuana when he was killed. But in the new lawsuit, Ward’s parents beg to differ, claiming that Stewart, with his ‘extreme skill and control over his car,’ could have easily avoided hitting their son … but instead, he chose to ‘terrorize’ Ward on the track because they had an ongoing feud between them at that time.
Ward’s parents believe weed did not have anything to do with his death … and that Stewart is the one fully responsible. They plan to take the case to the jury.
