The man who was seen with Rosie O’Donnell’s missing 17-year old daughter has been charged in connection with her disappearance.
As you will recall, the TV personality went on social media to sound the alarm that her adopted daughter Chelsea, who reportedly has some medical issues, had been missing for a week. A day later, Chelsea was found in the home of one Steven Sheerer, a 25-year old ex-convict who did time for heroin possession.
Now according to Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato, Rosie gave cops the permission to check her daughter’s cell phone, and the search revealed ‘evidence of inappropriate communications over the last several weeks between Sheerer and the minor.’ Sheerer was subsequently arrested on Friday night for third degree endangering the welfare of a child and third degree distribution of obscenity to a minor.
Sheerer’s bail has been set at $40,000 … and he faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if found guilty of both counts.
