Mel Gibson unleashed a potload of curses on a female photographer and nearly went physical on her during the Australian Israeli Film Festival in Sydney on Sunday, it has been reported.
According to Australia’s Daily Telegraph photog Kristi Miller, the actor went nuclear after she snapped a photo of him and his new girlfriend Rosalind Ross as they were leaving a movie theater (above).
‘I took a photo of Mel and his girlfriend and when I turned around he shoved my back really hard,’ Miller, a 39-year old mother of three, told the newspaper. ‘It shocked me because I wasn’t expecting it. I don’t know if it was his hands or elbow.’
Miller went on to say that Gibson stood over her, holding his clenched fist up high. Then he allegedly began to hurl a busload of profanities on her, accusing her of ‘invading’ his space and ‘disrespecting’ him by taking the photo.
‘I thought he was going to punch me in the face,’ said Miller. ‘He was spitting in my face as he was yelling at me, calling me a dog, saying I’m not even a human being and I will go to hell. He swore and called me a c … It was non-stop, he didn’t even breathe.’
Eventually, the verbal assault stopped after Ross intervened and apologized to Miller.
‘It was only when (Ross) grabbed his shoulder and said, “that is enough” that he stopped,’ Miller said. ‘She said, “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry”. They turned and crossed the road and walked off.’
The case was reported to police, who are currently investigating.
Meanwhile, Gibson’s rep in Los Angeles told Daily Telegraph when contacted, ‘There was no physical contact whatsoever with this photographer, who was harassing my client and his friend.’
