Horror legend Wes Craven, who directed horror movie franchises like Scream and Nightmare of Elm Street has died. He was 76.
According to multiple reports, Craven died at his home in Los Angeles on Sunday after a long battle with brain cancer.
Craven is best known for creating the character Freddy Kreuger, which is described as one of the most horrifying character in entertainment history. He is also known for other horror classics as The Hills Have Eyes and Last House on the Left.
Craven was married three times, and is survived by them, three children and grandchildren.
