Rihanna’s perfume launch at a Macy’s store in Brooklyn, NY on Monday was interrupted by placard-carrying anti-fur protesters, resulting in a chaotic scuffle with security.
The singer was launching her new ‘RiRi’ perfume when the protesters, carrying signs that read, ‘Who Died for Your Coat?’ and ‘Skinned Alive,’ began screaming and shouting, ‘Shame on Rihanna!’
The protesters soon got into a scuffle with both Rihanna’s and Macy’s security team, who tried to pull down the signs and physically remove them from the perfume launch territory.
Of course, this is not the first time Rihanna has been targeted for wearing fur. In 2012, she was slammed by PETA for wearing snakeskin boots.
