A U.S District court in New York has overturned the 4-game suspension of Tom Brady over the so-called ‘Deflategate’ scandal.
In a 40-page ruling on Thursday, Judge Richard M. Berman nullified NFL’s decision to suspend Brady for the following reasons:
- The NFL didn’t properly inform Brady of the punishment he faced, or even what he was accused of.
- The NFL didn’t let Brady’s camp question NFL executive and counsel Jeff Pash at his appeal.
- The NFL didn’t give Brady’s side the opportunity to examine the evidence against him.
- The NFL did not properly inform Brady and other players beforehand about the inflation rules before accusing him of breaking them.
The NFL has released a statement, saying that they will appeal the decision.
As ENTmania! reported, Brady maintained that he did nothing wrong.
