U2 was forced to cancel their concert in Stockholm, Sweden after cops failed to locate a gunman allegedly at the venue.
The band was set to perform at the Globe Arena when officers showed up, saying that the arena’s security let an armed man inside. According to police sources, the armed man told the security at the gate that he was a police officer who ‘forgot to leave [his] gun at work.’
Cops evacuated the venue after they failed to apprehend the gunman, effectively cancelling the show. U2 later apologized on its website, saying, ‘The organizers apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank the audience for their understanding. Their safety is the priority.’
The cancelled concert will now take place on Tuesday.
