Hope Solo’s 2014 domestic violence case, which was previously dismissed, has now been reopened following a successful appeal.
As ENTmania! reported, the Team USA goalkeeper was arrested in June last year and charged with two counts of domestic violence for allegedly beating up her sister and nephew while drunk at a house party held at her home in Seattle. She pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the case was dismissed on procedural grounds.
But following an appeal by prosecutors, the Washington state appeals court reversed the decision, saying simply on its website on Friday, ‘The court reverses the decision of the lower court and remands the case to the Kirkland (Washington) Municipal Court.’
A trial date has not been disclosed.
