Missy Elliott has been sued for not promoting her scheduled Brazil concerts, which later got cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
The rapper was booked to perform two shows in Rio and Porto Alegre back in November 2012 but according to the promoters, Elliott failed to make the scheduled appearances on Brazil’s Rede Globo TV to promote them. That singular act led to poor ticket sales, which forced the promoters to cancel the concerts.
Now according to TMZ, promoter Jean Faustin has sued Elliott, demanding that she pay back the $75,000 advance he paid her plus damages.
Elliot’s camp has not responded to the suit yet.
